...who is a POET??...he is...but a dethroned king sitting among the ashes of his palace trying to fashion an image out of the ashes...
..he is the poorest of the poor..yet he carries an oasis in his heart cultivated by the caravan of his thinking...he is a pauper..but he still pretends to be a ' prince ' in the kingdom of his vivid imagination..
..he only sings when he is starving for he cannot sing if his mouth be filled with food...
..he only raises his hand to beg for he cannot raise his hands if it be filled with gold...
..his wealth is his winged imagination and fictive power to think...and ' thinking ' always acts for him as the stumbling stone to ' poetry '... :) ;)
..he is a tree watered by the river of beautiful thoughts..and carries in his heart a lamp unconquered by darkness..
..yes..he seeks NIRVANA..not by counting coins of gold..but in leading his sheep to greener pasture..in seeking a smile from humanity...in putting his child to sleep..and in writing the last line of his poem... :)

...he will be unheard until humans honor the dead and forget the living..for then only upon his ' death '... ' he ' will rule their hearts...and his kingdom will have no ending... :) :) ;)
..TO HAVE GREAT POETS..THERE MUST BE GREAT AUDIENCES TOO... :)

.. magical L.A.D.A.K.H... ;) :)

i learnt all the words
and broke them up
to make a single word
' homeland '

..next to God..
..my place is the greatest wonder of this universe.
..the vast sea of mountains covered in the thick blanket of white...
..proudly displaying its might..
..the color of blue that span the entire sky..
..splashed with sparse clouds of white...
...the countless small rivers cascading into the mighty Indus...
...the magnificent sight of the chilling river merging with the Indus...
..the grand royal Leh palace still standing stall, withstanding centuries..
..overlooking the Leh city..
...the soaring hillocks protruding into the sky...
...the deep gorges and the grand canyons cradled in deep slumber as if inviting us into its lap...
...the hills enveloping itself by the mellow colors of the setting sun....
...the cacophony of the birds echoing in sweetness.....
..the Yaks grazing lazily in the thin parches of green..
...the scattered manis and the chortens exhibiting its glorious past adding to the aura of this magical place...
...the sound of the gong of a nearby monastery echoing into the valley...
...the rickety gompas perched atop the hills in secret conversation with the skies.....
..the littered villages..the roaring streams..
..the far flung places..still secluded from civilisation..
..the winds whispering to my ear..
..and the ' aroma of homeland..

...it has boundless beauty...the beauty that strikes the senses, the beauty of quality n appearance which my mind does grasp..
..i find delight n rejoice being in the midst of such a breathtaking scene
with nature exuding such magic..
..the palette of lights, colors, shades and shadows are the result of its invisible formula and i love being a part of this nature's divine plan..this peps in me oodles of energy ushering in me a new vigor and spirit....i feel proud to be from this mystic land that still boasts of its ' chastity '..
..there is variety in every breath and mood of this place..and every mood has a message n a purpose..
..its time for me to decode this message...read its purpose and fall in love with the ' wilderness ' of this place...over and over again...and fill my palate with the beauty of L.A.D.A.G.S.... :) ;)

I have never been to Ladakh...but it's your description which gave my imagination a wonderful task of constructing this place in my mind and I will be glad to make the real experience of this place , an unforgettable part of my memory. I hope to visit Ladakh once in my lifetime, where I don't only read these words but actually feel them.

Missing Ladhak and ..."the countless small rivers cascading into the mighty Indus..." with beautiful trees and grass on the bank of it.. and also with the sound of ripples.. :)
