...who is a POET??...he is...but a dethroned king sitting among the ashes of his palace trying to fashion an image out of the ashes...
..he is the poorest of the poor..yet he carries an oasis in his heart cultivated by the caravan of his thinking...he is a pauper..but he still pretends to be a ' prince ' in the kingdom of his vivid imagination..
..he only sings when he is starving for he cannot sing if his mouth be filled with food...
..he only raises his hand to beg for he cannot raise his hands if it be filled with gold...
..his wealth is his winged imagination and fictive power to think...and ' thinking ' always acts for him as the stumbling stone to ' poetry '... :) ;)
..he is a tree watered by the river of beautiful thoughts..and carries in his heart a lamp unconquered by darkness..
..yes..he seeks NIRVANA..not by counting coins of gold..but in leading his sheep to greener pasture..in seeking a smile from humanity...in putting his child to sleep..and in writing the last line of his poem... :)

...he will be unheard until humans honor the dead and forget the living..for then only upon his ' death '... ' he ' will rule their hearts...and his kingdom will have no ending... :) :) ;)
..TO HAVE GREAT POETS..THERE MUST BE GREAT AUDIENCES TOO... :)

...bewitching ladakh..... ;) :) ;)

O Solitude!
if i must with thee dwell,
Let it not be among the jumbled heap
of murky buildings
                               -John Keats

..for in ' silence ' i find my solitude...
..for the monotony of a quiet life
stimulates the creative mind in me...

..for in ' silence ' n solitude i find my independence...
..for in silence i find the richness of self..
..for the more inclined i am towards the religion of solitude,
the more powerful and original my mind becomes...

..for in silence i find my strength..
..for in silence i can travel towards the infinite..
..for in silence i can peacefully create my words...
..for in silence i feel no longer a mortal..
..for through my ' living words ' i can scream to immortality...

..the carpet of velvet was strewn with the white and brown grains of sand that glinted in the sun..the carpet was the valley of L.A.D.A.K.H ....and the grains of sand were the houses of the town's urban sprawl, seen from 1000 feet above...seating on the seat in the plane...i drank in the spectacular view and could sense the cool mountain breeze, fragrant with those two most seductive  and elusive of the spices  : ' silence ' n ' solitude  '...
...L.E.H  is a sleepy little town ,ringed by the emerald terraces of wheat fields and thin parches of scattered green...
..Delhi...the city where i study right nw...is  a city having population that has swelled into monstrous size,it is a place with choked streets spewing pollution, ear splitting shrieks of automotive horns greet us everyday...
..i belong to LADAKH..n my place is an ideal getaway from the noise n the clamour of an increasingly overpopulated planet..its a perfect retreat for people suffering from urban shell shock..and the cure it offers consists of ' quietness  ' n a sense of ' soliditary ' space...it can also drown you in its rustic charm..n weave around you its magical spell of absence..the absence of the crowds..the absence of the noise..the absence of the teeming crowds...
..but sadly they are being lost forever to the relentless encroachment of progress..the beauty of Ladakh is getting lost in the greed of making more money...people out there are turning blind as their eyes have become tinted with the colour of money...
..i feel like a miser about such beautiful places..n i wish i could hoard it in secrecy, the way a ' miser ' hoards his gold...
..Gold...even at the record prices that it has reached today can still be bought...but i feat that ' silence  ' n ' stillness ' n the places where they are to be found, will soon be beyond the power of money or love...or both to purchase...
..fearing this i would like to keep such places hidden, out of the sight of the others, for ' silence  ' n ' solitude  ' are more difficult to share than even a miser's gold...
...but even as a miser fearful of theft is tempted to disclose his secret gold to strangers if only because he covets their envy which will make him feel even richer than he already does-- i can't help but spill the beans about my hidden treasures... :) ;)

i believe our parents or our predecessors had better life than us, but we r being victimised in the process of globalisation in an attempt to raise our living standard .but in real sense i feel that it has put a big question mark on the notion of progress , what it meant for ladakhi people, i regret that ladakh has to be destroyed . the changes in the social, culture, environment, natural beauty n psychology of people that i observe is really worrisome .the progress in ladakh is being made at the cost of breakdown of centuries old nurtured values n scarring its old existing natural beauty which since ancient times has been the jewel in the crown of ladakh .the breakdown in the human relations is very worrying .its high time we think over it n act soon before its too late......

two things in d universe..
living beings n non living ones ...
mortality n immortality..
but it has no difference out there...
...
where..echoes of the silence reverberates....
where calmness of the nature unearthenes the secret story of the nature..
where peace n eternity unbounds everywhere..
where truth prevails anytime enthralling THE REAL BEAUTY out there..
And minds captured n captivated..,
and becomin our souls sanctified...
By the enchanting abode
By the transcendental LADAKH>>>
