...who is a POET??...he is...but a dethroned king sitting among the ashes of his palace trying to fashion an image out of the ashes...
..he is the poorest of the poor..yet he carries an oasis in his heart cultivated by the caravan of his thinking...he is a pauper..but he still pretends to be a ' prince ' in the kingdom of his vivid imagination..
..he only sings when he is starving for he cannot sing if his mouth be filled with food...
..he only raises his hand to beg for he cannot raise his hands if it be filled with gold...
..his wealth is his winged imagination and fictive power to think...and ' thinking ' always acts for him as the stumbling stone to ' poetry '... :) ;)
..he is a tree watered by the river of beautiful thoughts..and carries in his heart a lamp unconquered by darkness..
..yes..he seeks NIRVANA..not by counting coins of gold..but in leading his sheep to greener pasture..in seeking a smile from humanity...in putting his child to sleep..and in writing the last line of his poem... :)

...he will be unheard until humans honor the dead and forget the living..for then only upon his ' death '... ' he ' will rule their hearts...and his kingdom will have no ending... :) :) ;)
..TO HAVE GREAT POETS..THERE MUST BE GREAT AUDIENCES TOO... :)

...long ago... :(

in your light i learnt how to love
in your beauty how to make poems
you danced inside  my chest
where no one saw you
but sometimes I did
and that sight became this art

long ago i was free
today i am free but chained to your thoughts
long ago i was a normal being
today i am but slowly going insane
long ago i was happy in the sunrise of my tomorrows
today i am happy but in the yesterday of my happiness
long ago i breathed in happiness
today i breathe but in the heartbeat of our memories
long ago i nurtured a dream
today i nurture but flowers around the tomb of our dreams
long ago i was blinded in love
today i am blinded but only by tears
long ago i feared i would die if i didn't had you
today half of me is dead and death seems inferior
long ago i missed you as a person
today i miss that person i thought you were
long ago only sticks, stones and words did hurt
today your silence is tearing me apart
long ago you were the light of my life
today the light of my light is fading with your light
long ago i encountered love, the moment i found your love
today love is but just a meaningless word
long ago my heart was a prairie teeming with life
today it is a ghost town haunted by your memories
long ago you told me a beautiful lie
today i am content in all those beautiful lies
long ago you were the dancing letters of my page
today you are but a beautiful page of my past
long ago i sank myself in your jokes and laughter
today i am drowning in the shrieks of your silence
long ago i wanted to live forever
today i exist but feel cursed with longevity :( :(

...ever lasting memories stengthenin by passage of time ..carryin by the torrents of the river full of sorrowness..banging on d bank of happiness of others...
.. reminds everybody how it becomes more n more.precious n valuable..wid someone in life..after pattin with her..
a nice depiction by the poet..in his special style of puttin sweet words together in very rhytmic way.

I like the post,
My story

There’s a young woman whose path often cross with mine at the bus stop, while we are waiting. She is sweet and her soft-spoken never fails to greet me. Sometimes we talk about the weather, when the day is too cold to speak about other things, but I never dared to ask her name, although I long for knowing it.

I sense it’d be a musical name and delicate songs will have it in their lyrics, and if ever my shyness would be cornered or curiosity would subjugate me, I would hear an unusual name that would please me.

I know she feels safe by my side, because she always come smiling where I am and there she remains silent until the time to leave arrives. And I suspect part of her calm resides in my apparent indifference on conversations invaded with questions.

I am glad when she’s close and I like to watch her when she seems not to notice. And I love her stillness and her absent happiness that invited me to crave for her reserved friendship. And that’s maybe why, because her quiet charm is haunting me, I guess I never desireth her name.

Such is her charm as she now is, that I could not bear that, because of me, she could one day change.

Hey, I am checking this blog using the phone and this appears to be kind of odd. Thought you'd wish to know. This is a great write-up nevertheless, did not mess that up.

Your poem is simple yet striking. I could really feel the pain in your poem. I am a frustrated writer but I don't know how to start....Perhaps I need more time to do it =)

Keep it up! Your piece is indeed a work of art!

Cheers!
